Before you get in
Every vehicle carries tourist passenger insurance, cover written specifically for fare paying visitors. Ordinary Sri Lankan private motor policies exclude carrying passengers for hire, so most informal drivers are not covered. Ours are.
We work only with drivers and tour operators registered with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the licence tourist transport legally requires, renewed every year.
The price we quote is the price you pay. No meter, no fuel surcharge, no surprise extras at the end.

Planning
The routes above are starting points, not fixed products. Most people arrive with a rough idea — a number of days, a few places they've seen photographs of — and we shape the rest around it.
Send us your dates, how many of you there are and what you'd like to see. We'll come back with a route and a fixed price. If your plan has too much in it, we'll say so — Sri Lanka is small but slow, and the most common mistake is trying to fit nine stops into seven days.

Entrance tickets and park fees aren't included — they're paid at each site and the rates change. Your driver knows the current prices and will tell you exactly what to expect for your route before you set off.

The same person stays with you for the whole trip — explaining the sites, handling tickets, knowing where to stop for lunch and when to leave to beat the crowds. Fluent English, experienced, and used to travelling families and small groups.
