09:00 — Sigiriya Lion Rock
Climb the rock fortress past the frescoes, the Mirror Wall and the Lion's Paws to the panoramic summit. ~2.5–3 hours at a relaxed pace.
12:30 — Sri Lankan lunch
A sit-down rice & curry buffet near Sigiriya to refuel before the temple.
14:00 — Dambulla Golden Cave Temple
A UNESCO cave complex of five caves, 150+ Buddha statues and centuries of cave murals.
