The King's Valley Secrets

Kasun
Verified hostBorn in the shadow of Sigiriya, Kasun has spent fifteen years guiding small groups through the lesser-known ruins his grandfather first showed him as a boy. He reads the rock like a book.
The experience
What you'll do
Long before the tour buses arrive, you'll meet Kasun at the foot of the rock and slip into the forest paths most visitors never see. Together you'll trace the old royal water gardens, climb to a quiet outcrop with a view of the fortress glowing pink in the dawn, and hear the family stories that don't appear in any guidebook.
The walk ends at Kasun's family home in a small village nearby, where his mother will have a slow village breakfast waiting — kola kenda, fresh string hoppers, and tea from the garden.
